The company's name was inspired by Nanaimo's legendary and colourful mayor and MLA, Frank James Ney, who often referred to the eastern part of Vancouver Island as "the sun porch of Canada."

Sun Porch Homes Ltd., Kenco Enterprises (1983) Ltd. and its affiliated companies specialise in real estate development that brings together a highly experienced team of professionals and decades of combined experience designing and building properties throughout greater Nanaimo. For over 35 years our team has built a solid reputation in Nanaimo as high-quality builders of both residential and commercial properties. Customer service, quality craftsmanship and imaginative designs are our top priorities.
